Detailed Guide to Camp Amadura from Bacolod City:
To reach Camp Amadura in Brgy. Caduha-an, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, start by riding a Ceres bus. If you're traveling from Bacolod City, the bus fare ranges from 100 to 120 pesos for a non-airconditioned bus and around 155 pesos for an airconditioned bus. The journey takes approximately 2 hours. Inform the bus conductor to drop you off at the INC (Iglesia Ni Cristo) Church.
Upon arrival at INC, you’ll find tricycles parked nearby. Let the tricycle driver know you're heading to Camp Amadura. The fare is 50 pesos per person, or you can rent the whole tricycle for 200 pesos.
The Hike to Camp Amadura:
From the jump-off point, our hike to the summit is a straightforward 22-minute walk even with stops for photos and videos. The trail is easy and suitable for all skill levels. As you hike, you'll pass through fields of sugarcane and hear the soothing sounds of the river and local wildlife.
Before reaching the summit, you'll cross a wooden bridge with a river flowing below. This spot is perfect for taking photos and videos. After the bridge, you'll encounter a steep wooden staircase leading up to stunning views of rice terraces. There’s also a nipa hut, or "bahay kubo," where you can rest. Additionally, you'll see a pineapple plantation along the way.

Entrance (Adult): 50 pesos
Children (10 years old and below): 25 pesos
Service fee for baggage assistance: 150 pesos
Corkage fee for bringing your own food: 300 pesos
Tent camping space: 300 pesos per tent (max of 3 persons per tent); excess persons: 100 pesos per head
Amenities at Camp Amadura:
Camp Amadura offers basic but essential amenities, including restrooms, a water source, and a charming wooden swing that overlooks the majestic mountain views.
The campsite also features a cow, and for 100 pesos, you can ride a horse. There's plenty to do at Camp Amadura, including enjoying a cozy bonfire.
Our Experience at Camp Amadura:
Our camping trip to Camp Amadura was truly memorable. Despite the rain, we had a fantastic time. Bathing in the rain reminded us of our childhood, and we enjoyed hot coffee while cooking our own food. The mountain views were breathtaking, with city lights and stars creating a stunning nightscape. The sounds of birds and wildlife were incredibly therapeutic, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.

Morning at Camp Suba:
The next morning, we visited Camp Suba, a nearby river spot. We had lunch there and enjoyed a relaxing swim in the river. The sound of the flowing water and the surrounding trees provided a calming and therapeutic experience.
